The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is proud to continue its partnership with Turner Construction Company as participants of the Turner School of Construction Management (TSCM) gain the tools, insights, and connections to elevate their operations right here at the Center.
As the official construction partner for the OCCC’s Grand Concourse Expansion project, Turner is not only helping shape the future of the Center but is also investing in the future of the region’s workforce. This partnership creates opportunities that extend far beyond the jobsite by providing local small businesses, trade partners, and subcontractors with the training they need to grow, compete, and succeed in the construction industry.
In April, the OCCC hosted the Turner School of Construction Management’s Spring 2026 class. The cohort brought together 32 graduates representing 16 firms across Central Florida. Over the span of 8 sessions, totaling 16 instructional hours, participants took part in expert led training designed to strengthen core competencies in construction management, project oversight, and business operations.
On April 16, 2026, the graduation celebration brought the entire cohort together to reflect on their accomplishments as participants received certificates of completion. The event highlighted the enthusiasm surrounding the program and reaffirmed the Center’s commitment to championing partner-focused workforce development.
As the OCCC continues forward with the Grand Concourse Expansion and other major capital projects, partnerships like this one play a vital role in ensuring that the benefits of growth are shared throughout the community. By supporting programs that expand skills and uplift the local workforce, the Convention Center remains committed to advancing opportunities that shape a stronger and more resilient future for Orange County.
