Marketing Resource Guide

The key to the Orange County Convention Center’s (OCCC) success is its adaptability, resiliency and flexibility. The OCCC is leading the way to provide safe events in our new normal. Through a strategic data-driven approach and deliberate planning prioritizing health and safety, the OCCC is providing controlled gatherings and unique experiences, so we can meet safely today for a stronger tomorrow.

Following a three-pronged strategy, the OCCC phased in modified operations by implementing the OCCC’s Recovery and Resiliency Guidelines, achieving Global Biorisk Advisory Council’s (GBAC) Star Accreditation and began a pioneering collaboration with Orlando Health for a new medical concierge program that provides an industry-defining standard on how conventions will operate in the future.

Five Reasons to Book at The Center of Hospitality

  1. Recovery and Resiliency Guidelines: Developed in consultation with Orange County’s Health Department, these data-driven guidelines provide a framework to prevent risk and protect clients, guests and attendees.
  2. Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR Accreditation: Enables the OCCC to establish and maintain a comprehensive cleaning, disinfection and infectious diseases prevention program to control and minimize risk associated with infectious agents for employees, guests and the surrounding community.
  3. Medical Concierge Program with Orlando Health and Visit Orlando: The first of its kind in the country, providing personalized medical services and resources to all meetings and convention groups holding events at the OCCC through 2020.
  4. Regional Support: The Central Florida region is taking a measured and careful approach to reopening. The OCCC continues to work with Orange County Government, Visit Orlando, and its tourism partners to protect and safeguard guests and attendees.
  5. Success Stories: Putting its plans into action, the OCCC successfully hosted more than 9,000 attendees at the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Junior National Volleyball Championships, and more than 1,400 attendees at the Together Again Expo. With no illnesses or cases reported following each event, the measures taken by the OCCC and show organizers prove to be successful and are a testament to hosting live events under our new normal.
