The Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) is owned and operated by Orange County Government, under the direction of Orange County Mayor Jerry L. Demings and the Board of County Commissioners. The leadership team consists of Mark Tester, Executive Director; David Ingram, Acting General Manager; Yulita Osuba, Deputy Director and Terry Devitt, Acting Deputy Director. There are seven divisions within the OCCC, responsible for day-to-day operations and client services.

Nadia Vanderhoof
Chief Marketing Officer
Nadia Vanderhoof is the Chief Marketing Officer for the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC). Vanderhoof is an accomplished public relations and marketing leader who focuses on elevating the OCCC in the convention and trade show industry and local community. Since May 2019, Vanderhoof has successfully carried out the OCCC’s mission of economic development by protecting the reputation of the OCCC and its clients who held safe conventions at the Center of Hospitality through the pandemic while increasing engagement and goodwill with stakeholders, partners and the local community.
Vanderhoof has an extensive background in public relations, marketing and brand innovation. Her career has been enriched with a diverse range of skills and extensive knowledge of the Central Florida region in her prior role as the Assistant Manager of Communications and Digital Marketing for Orange County Government.
Vanderhoof previously led a team to win numerous state and national industry awards for citizen outreach, community engagement and crisis communications from the Orlando Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association, the Public Relations Society of America – Sunshine District, the National Association of Counties, PR Daily - Ragan Communications, the Center for Digital Government and the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
In 2021, the OCCC Marketing and Communications team won a Radiance Award for Executive Communications, in addition to receiving a Radiance Award in the Videos category for their Meeting Safely Today for a Stronger Tomorrow video campaign. Additionally, Vanderhoof was named the PRSA Sunshine District’s 2021 Trailblazer.
Vanderhoof joined Orange County Government in November 2011 and has served the community during a number of weather-related emergency activations including Hurricanes Matthew and Irma. The most challenging communications crisis Vanderhoof faced was assisting with regional communications in the aftermath of the Pulse Nightclub tragedy for Orange County.
For more than a decade and prior to joining Orange County, Vanderhoof was a multimedia business reporter for the E.W. Scripps Co. in South Florida and a writer for the Tampa Tribune, now the Tampa Bay Times. Vanderhoof graduated from Lakeland-based Florida Southern College with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and received her master’s degree in strategic communications from Seton Hall University in New Jersey. Vanderhoof lives with her husband and two children in Windermere.
