Orgill Spring Dealer Market at the Orange County Convention Center Supports Local Organizations

ORLANDO, Fla. – (Mar. 26, 2020) More than 22,600 home improvement industry experts from around the globe gathered at the Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) from Feb. 27-29, 2020 to attend the Orgill Spring Dealer Market, generating an impressive estimated $58 million in economic impact for the Central Florida region.

Covering nearly one million square feet of exhibit space, retailers from around the globe gathered at the Center of Hospitality to experience a range of interactive product showcases in search of deals, new products and ideas to improve their business.

Recognized for bringing significant economic impact to the region, the OCCC also offers a range of unique green meeting initiatives, to improve and strengthen the community and environment. These initiatives encompass innovative waste diversion practices, involving the donation of much needed items to local organizations.

Through collaboration with the Orgill Spring Dealer Market’s show management and exhibitors, the OCCC was able to secure donations of essential household items and building materials to the value of $300,000, in support of the West Orange Habitat for Humanity.

“We would like to thank the OCCC management and exhibitors for making a difference for low-income families in Central Florida,” said Marilyn Hattaway, Executive Director for the West Orange Habitat for Humanity. “Through our partnership with the OCCC, we can sell donated sample merchandise through our ReStore, which helps save transportation costs, keeps material out of the landfill, and supports our home ownership program. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together!”

The OCCC has enjoyed a flourishing relationship with the show over the years, and welcomes the positive impact the event continues to bring to the region.
